What to Expect

Our church family is comprised of young and old. Our worship music includes both contemporary worship songs as well as classic and familiar hymns of the faith.  Hope Church consists of approximately 80 people who attend regularly.  Folks here tend to dress in business-casual, but there is always a mixture of ties and blue jeans.  We have classes for children and adults each Sunday morning.  We also provide nursery care for infants to three-year-olds during morning service.

Sunday Mornings

Services are generally 1 hour and 20 minutes in length with 40 minutes of praise and prayer and 40 minutes of preaching. Members lead the time of worship that includes singing, reading of the Scripture, prayer, giving financially, video instructions and the Lord’s Supper monthly. Our music is a blend of old and new and we use piano, guitar and violin to lead the congregation in worship. We aim to sing songs that both speak to God and about God.  Our desire is to teach theological truth through worship and exalt God in his Trinity.

Generally Pastor Paulo preaches each Lord’s Day.  At times, others from neighboring churches or from within open the Scriptures to us.  We have a practice of teaching through a book of the Bible from beginning to end by examining the original meaning of the text and how it applies in our lives today.  Pastor Paulo is an expositional preacher but will preach thematically about once every 6 weeks.

At the conclusion of our time, we encourage individuals to stay as long as they want and enjoy conversation and a cup of coffee downstairs or simply hang out in the foyer.   The pastor’s door is always open to anyone seeking answers to questions.

Sunday Evenings

Approximately once per month we have a Sunday evening service or event.  These are usually at 6 pm and designed to encourage spiritual growth, biblical knowledge, service and fellowship.  On the first and third Sunday of each month the Abide College and Career group meets downstairs.
